Community Cooking & Financial Literacy Workshop Series for Youth

A five-week series designed for Black youth ages 13–24 to master real kitchen skills, build confidence, and learn how to manage money like a pro. Led by Chef Amanda and Harprit Gill, this program gives young people tangible life skills rooted in cultural pride.

Students also earn Volunteer Hours by participating and helping with set-up and clean-up.

What You’ll Experience:

• Cooking Workshop — Cook amazing meals and master real kitchen skills. Build confidence, independence, and share your culture with pride. All food supplies provided.

• Financial Literacy Workshop — Learn how to budget smart and shop like a pro. Save money, waste less, and make food go further.

Program Details:

Ages: Youth 13–24

Dates: Starts Thursday, April 23, 2026 (5-week series)

Time: Thursdays, 6:00–8:00 PM sharp (doors open at 5:30 PM)

Location: Mississauga — near Winston Churchill Blvd & Hwy 403 (exact address provided upon registration)

Cost: Free
