Healing Happens in the Community

Welcome to Care Masters!

We are a Black-led charity rooted in the belief that every woman, every child, and every family deserves access to spaces that uplift, empower, and strengthen them.

Care Masters Women and Family Services was founded in 2017 in Mississauga, Ontario, and has grown from a grassroots movement into a thriving, multi-staffed organization serving over 560 people in 2025 alone.

Our programs are barrier-free, culturally grounded in African and Caribbean traditions of care, and designed to nurture emotional wellness, family stability, and confident young leaders.

Because community should never come with a price tag.

What We Do — Our Four Pillars

Everything we do falls under four pillars that reflect what our community needs most.

Family & Mental Wellness

We create safe, healing spaces for Black women, single mothers, and caregivers through our signature Sister Circles, grief support, wellness workshops, and personal development programming. Over 100 women found community and healing through our circles and wellness programs in 2025.

Children, Youth & Leadership

From basketball courts to art studios, our youth programs build confidence, cultural pride, and leadership skills. Our Black Family Fun Night program has been running weekly for nearly five years, and our Elevate Youth Initiative supported 21 young people through leadership and enrichment programming in 2025.

Community Care & Food Security

Food is part of wellness. We support families through $3,500 in emergency grocery gift cards, fresh meals at every program, holiday hampers, and grocery delivery — because no family should have to choose between healing and eating.

School Partnerships

We bring culturally relevant, identity-affirming programming into schools across Peel Region and the GTA. From our Black Joy Lab to our Mic’d Up Podcast Program, we partner with Black Student Alliances, Equity Teams, and Student Success departments to create experiencesrooted in culture, creativity, and wellness.
