Junior Wealth Builders
Building Confident, Financially Empowered Youth
About the Program
The Junior Wealth Builders Program is a six-week financial literacy and entrepreneurship program designed for Black youth ages 12–18. Developed by Care Masters Women and Family Services in partnership with Affluence Creators, this program gives young people practical money management skills, entrepreneurial confidence, and the tools to start building generational wealth — all within a culturally responsive, identity-affirming learning environment.
At Care Masters, we believe financial education should be accessible, culturally relevant, and empowering. Most schools do not offer formal instruction in money management, budgeting, saving, credit, investing, or entrepreneurship — and this gap disproportionately impacts Black youth who already face systemic barriers like income inequality and limited intergenerational wealth. Junior Wealth Builders exists to close that gap.
Because when our youth thrive, our communities thrive.
What Students Walk Away With
Over six interactive sessions, participants develop:
Confidence in understanding and managing money
Practical financial skills they can use right now
Entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to turn ideas into action
Stronger communication and leadership skills
A completed business pitch project presented to the community
Cultural pride and a connection to the broader narrative of Black economic empowerment
The program culminates in the Junior Wealth Builders Showcase, where participating youth present their business ideas to peers, families, and community members.
