Our Story
Care Masters Child & Family Services was created to serve the unique therapeutic needs of African/Caribbean/Black women and girls in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We have worked on the front lines of social service organizations and discovered a lack of accessible, culturally conscious, cost-effective mental health supports for Black clients and their families.
Systemic barriers in the child welfare, healthcare and criminal justice systems create a perpetual cycle of trauma for Black Canadians. We are dedicated to providing accessible mental health resources to African/Caribbean/Black women and helping their families navigate these systems in the GTA. |
Our Mission
Care Masters is dedicated to delivering transformative, inclusive and culturally responsive mental health support to African/Caribbean/Black women with respect, integrity and compassion using innovative methods and community connections to heal the invisible scars caused by anti-black racism, abuse, violence and generational trauma.
Our Vision
Care Masters envisions a world in which African/Caribbean/Black women are respected, protected and empowered to build mental vitality, prosperity and healthy connections for themselves, their families and communities.
