This exciting initiative is designed to empower up to 24 youth, helping them build stronger social, emotional, and leadership skills. Through mentorship and academic support, you’ll play a key role in helping participants reach their full potential.

- Provide academic support in Science, Math, and Language.
- Assist with homework and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
- Facilitate one 2-hour session per week for 15 weeks.

- Have expertise in one or more core subjects: Science, Math, and Language.
- Are committed to fostering learning and growth in youth.
- Can reliably commit to the 15-week program.

Join Our Youth Mentorship Program: Inspire the Next Generation
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of Black youth? We’re seeking men and women with skills, life experiences, career insights, or inspiring stories to share with youth aged 12-17 in our upcoming mentorship program.
Your influence could be life-changing, offering guidance and empowerment to young people seeking positive role models and direction in their lives.
As a mentor, you'll have the opportunity to speak to a group of up to 20 youth in Mississauga—or join us online if in-person participation isn’t possible. The program runs weekly from March to June, with additional chances to connect during the summer for fun and engaging experiences.

About the Opportunity:
- Programs: Get involved in our Black Family Fun Night Program, running from September to December and March to June. It’s your chance to play a big part in evenings filled with fun, learning, and community building.
- Leadership in Training (LIT) Program: As a volunteer, you’ll automatically become a member of our LIT program, which is designed to boost your skills in areas like mentoring children, program planning, teamwork, child development, self-esteem and confidence building, creative/artistic skill building, and more. It’s a great way to own your voice and lead activities!
- Summer Volunteering: Extend your impact into the summer months by helping out at our recreational/art-based community camp programs and new childminding programming.
- Additional Learning Opportunities: As part of our commitment to your growth, you’ll also gain valuable money management and employment skills, and have access to positive Black role models and mentors—all geared towards helping you reach your highest potential.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Have you babysat or worked with children aged 4-11? That’s a plus!
- Skills: We value enthusiasm, responsibility, and a caring attitude. If you’re creative, a team player, and eager to lead, you’re the kind of volunteer we need.
- Commitment: Ability to commit to evening and weekend sessions during the school year and flexible hours in the summer.
